SPRING IS HERE

John 11:25-26 New King James Version (NKJV)

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?

As we look out our windows, after a long winter, we eagerly anticipate the robins returning, the trees blooming and the warmer days of Spring.

Our spirits have felt enslaved to the four corners of our homes with little hope of every being able to adventure outside without the trials & trouble of winter weather, cold blustering winds, and layers upon layers of clothing to keep us comfortable, while being miserable.

When I think of Spring I am always brought to the place in my Spirit that Rejoices in remembrance of Resurrection Sunday.  A time that amplifies the Eternal Hope that we have in Christ Jesus.  A time that reminds us that through great adversity brought forth the Greatest Victory to mankind.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life”  It was a statement to end all statements…. FACT!  We hear people say, “Well that’s your opinion.”  But this wasn’t Jesus opinion, or his truth…  He is TRUTH.
Jesus not only said that He is the Resurrection and the Life, but followed that fact up with a promise… He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.  And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.
We go through winter with a hope that spring will come, that the robins will return, that the trees will bud, and the tulips will bloom.  We have a natural hope (faith) that God has put within us, that “This too shall pass.”
When we go through the “winters” of our spirits & mind - We have to remind ourselves that we have an Eternal Spring called the Resurrection in Christ Jesus our Saviour.  Not only does Jesus provide us the Fact and the Promise, but also the Condition…Do you believe this?”
We have to place our Faith squarely in him.  If we believe it will be eviendent in our lives.  I leave you with this... Roman 6 1-11  and the question that Jesus ask… Do you believe this?”

Romans 6 New King James Version (NKJV)

Dead to Sin, Alive to God

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be [a]done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been [b]freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, [c]reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as [d]instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Blessings,
Pastor Donnie
